Most of the student has a goal they wanted to accomplish in the future. This gave the student a chance to really think of what’s important and put it down for critics others to see. It was a nice practice of peer working with a classmate. I want to be a front-end web developer which is responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact within a web application.
In order to reach my goal, I need some skills which are below:
- understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content
Most of the above skills I am learning in my college courses.
We discussed the responsibilities of a web developer that bellow:
Develop new user-facing features
Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
Maintain and improve website.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
I know one person who is Lebanese front-end web developer named Sara Soueidan. She mostly self-learned web developer. She is also a public tech speaker recognizing world wide.
I know it’s going to be difficult to be web developer but I am determined to do so.
